When dietary changes and especially the removal of carbohydrates meant my inflammatory markers dropped back to normal levels I thought I had understood which foods affected the bowel and caused Crohn’s disease. Whilst this was partly true it was only when I read The pH Miracle and The Acid Alkaline Food Guide that I really understood the importance of taking foods that maintained the correct acid / alkaline balance of the body.
